"Articulture" ~ Take Two

I'm taking you on another stroll through the Philadelphia Flower Show.  Ready?  Let's go!

While I was not a huge fan of this year's theme...I can certainly appreciate all the work that went into creating these massive orbs of floral materials.
Do you recognize these tropical blooms?  It's a Gloriosa Lily.  I've actually bought tubers from the show in past years but the vines were weak and very few blooms.  Maybe worth another try...I do love them!
These variegated boxwoods were quite formal and tulips planted en masse...Aahh!
There were lots of cool vertical plantings.  Are you a fan?
These framed designs were my fave.  Looks easy, yes?
I love orchids...just didn't love them in blue!
Huh...?
Ok, how about some 'real' flowers to end this post...
Thanks for visiting, friends!  Hope your week is in full bloom!

  1. Hi Brooke! Thanks for stopping by. I recently visited your blog and it's amazing how your garden has grown (a friend since your first year at the house)! I will be sure to stop for a longer tour soon! Happy Spring! ;D

  2. Yes last three pictures are most beautiful but on a flowershow it is all very nice but mostly a bit artificial. Anyway we often come back from flowershows with lots of new ideas.

  4. I do like the look of vertical gardening, but it's getting overdone. It reminds me of those upside down tomatoes, remember those? When I saw people going crazy over them, I'd often say that it was like we all forgot that you can just make it easy on yourself and plant tomatoes right in the ground. That's how I feel about vertical gardening! I feel the same way about the endless herb gardens on Pinterest. Herbs don't want to grow in Mason jars, they want to grow in the ground! LOL
