A Sea of Blue

Everywhere I look, I see Forget-Me-Nots. Especially in places I did not plant. But, somehow, they look as though they were planned, tucked in for perfect combinations with the other blooms...making my garden especially pretty...just love that!

They are even rampant in my vegetable beds...which I will have to pull out...soon!

Flowering trees are at their peak right now.
This Kwanzan Cherry is one of my favorite!

Star Magnolia and Purple Plum in the background

Here's the reverse view

Crabapple tree...

...and a fuzzy! :)

There are still some late blooming daffodils to enjoy.

Bright and cheerful yellow tulips...

Hellebores tend to face downward, but look how these blooms, with it's extra long stems, are more upright...much better to see and enjoy!

And, of course, along with the good...

...comes the bad and ugly! These creepy guys make my skin crawl!

Hope I didn't spoil anyone's breakfast! ;)
Have a wonderful day!

  2. The way forget-me-nots add a softening to the gardening always make me smile. Just got some white ones from a friend. It will be a while before they take over, but it's worth the wait.

  5. Lynn everything is so beautiful. Love your fuzzy - LOL. The Forget Me Nots make sure you don't forget them when they plant themselves everywhere. How could we when they're so bright and cheerie. The trees are gorgeous. My little Crabapple is going to have buds but Bob had to cut it way back after the deer got through with it. So it seems a lot smaller than last year. ;-( I got my deer repellent on early this year!!!!!

  6. It looks so pretty there now! Forget-me-nots show ups all over here too. I let them go and then pull most out as they finish blooming. They still manage to reseed enough for a show the next Spring.

  10. Wow, Lynn, you are in the midst of true beauty! Those forget-me-nots really like your climate! I haven't ever had them take off like that. I have 4 little plants that I put in a few wks ago and I'm hoping they'll survive the summer and come back again next year. It would be a thrill to see them like yours! Your entire garden looks amazing already...and it's just beginning! There is so much to look forward to, and I can remember how gorgeous it gets throught the rest of the spring and summer. Happy spring to you!
