Daylily Dreaming....

This post is dedicated to you, George!

Daylilies?! In January?! Wishful thinking, I know....
But hey, a girl can dream, right?

especially with snow flurries out my window...

So, Rene, how many more days 'til Summer??

Dating myself but this is one of my favorite songs...enjoy!

  1. One of the nicest things about January for me is that I begin to remember the new bulbs and plants I put in the ground in the fall. And then I begin to tingle all over as I eagerly anticipate what new delights will come up in the spring and over the summer.

Yup! I'm waiting for my gardening catalogue to arrive any day now!

  2. Ooh, Sandy! I love that tingle all over feeling!:)
Catalogs are a big tease and I'm way over budget already but it's the best way to pass the winter blues...

  3. Hi Lynn, summer flowers are so cheering in mid winter, I agree! Daylilies are so rewarding, so easy to grow, easy to propagate, easy to find. Yummy! :-)

  7. Hi Lynn, What an inspiring post today, full of truly beautiful photos. I love daylilies, and believe it or not, we actually have many, though they are all yellow. Maybe we should branch out. And, yes, I'm following Rene's countdown, too! Eagerly awaiting my next assignment, even though I failed miserably with the last.

Keep dreamin'! It's what keeps us going.

  8. Lynn a splash of color is what we all need today and dreaming of flowers and summer is a good thing. I am so ready. I just got into the lilies last year and love them so planted so many more this fall. I cannot wait to see them bloom along with my trusty rifle to scare Bambi away. I remember all of your pretty blooms from last summer and never grow tired of seeing how pretty your garden was.

  18. Hey Lynn I just love when you daydream - and very appropriate music to go with the post!
Who cares if it's an age dropper - it was the best time for music (and a little earlier - oops now my age is showing) ever!
Your Daylilies are beautiful - in fact all of your flowers are. Maybe I'll do a post with the ones I got last summer that I have no ID's on. Someone might be able to help with their names.
