Dang Goat!

Okay, so not to be confused with Heather's dang goat, Ollie (http://smallgoatgarden.blogspot.com/), I have one of my very own! Driving along Interstate 78W (central New Jersey), there is literally a rock wall between exits 11 and 7. For the past two years, I've spotted a goat on those ledges at least half dozen times! Usually a brown one but at times, a black and white. The problem was, my family never believed me!! They tease me about it relentlessly! Comments like, "yeah, sure Mom!" and "You sooo did NOT!"...even coming up with a game of "I spy a goat" every time we drove by! Of course the goats are never there when we're driving together. So you see my problem?!

Well, who's crazy now! I spotted the brown one last week!!! I risked life and limb for this photo! And, as you can plainly see, it's a Dang Goat!!!!

So now the girls are convinced but HH thinks I snuck to the zoo...you, my friends, believe me, don't you...?!

  1. I believe you for sure. LOL I can still remember seeing a goat standing on top of a low angled roof and everyone teased me. Of course he didn't hang out there so I couldn't prove it but - that's my story and I'm sticking to it! I'm glad you were able to get that picture.

  2. Looks like a goat to me! Now all you need is you and your house in the photo with the goat.
As a daylily fan I wish you could see my mom's daylily garden. She has about 400 varieties. July in her garden is gorgeous. They are a truly beautiful flower.

  3. I believe you! Capture him and take him home, and he can be your Dang Goat Ollie. Everyone should have one or two. Being headbutted is kind of funny when the attacker is only 45 lbs. Fun post and I am so glad you got your picture!

  4. I'm never surprised to see a goat roaming free.

Someone forgot to wrap it in chicken wire to keep it fenced in.

  5. I believe you! :) It does seem like a funny place for a goat to be, but now you've got proof.

  9. Hi all, good to know you would have believed me, regardless of the photo..lol! He must belong to a farm behind the rock wall but how the heck did he get there? It's a straight fall to oncoming traffic!
