It's a Beautiful Morning...

There's an ethereal quality about the garden in the early morning light . I find this time to be the most peaceful and beautiful. The flowers are much more saturated in color..and capturing them on film is easier than in the bright of day. With coffee and camera in hand, I take a tour...It's a daily ritual.
A spent frond of an aruncus..which I didn't even notice when it was in flower!

If you're not quite awake, this bold purple phlox will certainly open your eyes...

So far so good with the tri-colored beech. My second attempt...I'm determined to make it grow!

Beautiful oriental lilies have been outstanding performers..3 wks. now!

A totally lucky shot!

These are 'just' Stella D' Oros...I say that because it's the most common variety of daylilies grown.

"Oh No! It's that lady trying to blind me...again!"
Food for birds...provided by this wild honeysuckle.
Hope you enjoyed the tour. Head out early tomorrow and see what beauty awaits in your garden...

  1. I SO agree with you Lynn - the morning time in the garden is the best! And if everyone is still sleeping and I can spend some time there just looking at the plants - it's even better! I said this before and I am saying again: your garden is beautiful! And pictures are great! Your post made me think - what am I doing in front of my computer this gorgeous morning?! I'm taking my coffee and going to the garden! BTW, that dragonfly shot is good! I didn't see any of them in my garden yet.

  4. Lynn, you are so right there is just something so peaceful about the flower gardens i the morning before the world gets so busy.
Your lilies are so pretty and I checked out the website. They have some beauties.
I love tall phlox and like the purple. My variegated phlox is just starting to open its buds. I have been trying to be so patient waiting on it. Yeah, right. ;-) I checked it everyday.
Glad you can finally get into my blog alright now.I am still scratching my head over that problem.
    Have a great weekend!

  7. The morning light is beautiful and you've done a lovely job capturing it in your photos. The flowers are beautiful. The dragonfly shot is great! Don't you love it when you get "lucky" with a shot like that? Though I think in your case, skill was involved, too. :) ~~Rhonda

  9. Hi Tatyana,
Some mornings are just too beautiful not go out and enjoy...this was one of them. It's been bright and muggy earlier and earlier now so by 10, I'm done with it! Water the pots and venture out again after dinner. I'm at the pc too often,(and too long) too! Thanks, the dragonfly was actually easy as he didn't flutter about too much, just hard to focus.

Thank you, Tina, for visiting! Have a great weekend!

Haha, Toots, two visits in one day! I didn't get a chance yesterday but next week I'll do FF...have fun!

  21. Lynn, I do agree with you. A person who loves her garden loves the morning. How wonderful to be greeted by cool fresh air, chirping birds, freshly opened flowers, dew on the leaves... Isn't it the most pleasant way to start the day?

  23. What beautiful photos! The sunbeams are marvellous. I am not a morning person and about the only way I would get pictures of a sunrise over my garden is if I stayed up all night ;-) Your pictures are almost tempting enough for me to set my alarm, though. Almost. hahahaha

  30. I love going out in the morning, too, sometimes with my camera, and other times with my hoe. I've also been seeing holes and planting more plants. My plan is that the ones I got on the way home from church today are the last ones for the season. We'll see if that's true.

I love your photos and sentiments!
